Do's Rain --Really make Grain ?
Just goofing off here this morning-- And looking a page for the last 20 years of corn production , i knowthat many on here thinks I'm just looking in my backyard - but really I try and look at th big Picture the best I cn -- so here's some facts and some--- GUESS's on my part .
Lets look at last year -- IN made a Wopping 99 BPA -- The 20 year averge is 141 bpa - so thats a plus 42 over last year andif you look at what the pro's say ( trend ) for this year at 154 - but would say ( guess ) that 165 - 170 maybe closer with a good finish . - = rain
How about IL ? Last year - 105 bpa ! 20 year average -140 = plus 35 over last year - this year trend 163 = plus 58 bpa -- can they make 163 ? good finish and I say - good chance .
Ohio -- last year 123 ! ( they stole my rain last year ! ) 20 average --138 - plus 15 bpa - trend 158 - they should blo right threw that - look at bins pictures .
MI -- last year 133 bpa -- 20 average -- 126 bpa -- trend this year -- 150 -- good finish -- thats will happen - may be plus
Now for you Doom and Gloomer's -- ( Hobby and Jen ) Iowa - last year -- 137 bpa - 20 year average --- 152 bpa -- trend this year - 181 - well we now that won't happen -- right - but the 152 is . Even with all the bad luck out there this year -- thats 15 bpa ON the plus side than last year .
The most interesting thing was NE --here's the last 9 years of bpa's 04 - 166 bpa -- 05 = 154 -- 06 = 152 -- 07=160 --- 08= 163 --- 09 =178 --- 10 = 166 -- 11 = 160 and 2012 =142 bpa --- Boyare they pumping some water or not ! There trend for this year is169 bpa - I don't hve a clue if they are better or worse out there .
How about KS ? Last year !! they made 96 bpa !!!!!!!! that is ONLY 3 bpa less than IN and ONLY 8 bpa under IL
Dam it ! Shaggys half stand just about kicked our butts ! lol
This years trend for KS is 120.8 bpa -- Yes the western 1/3 is gone - But how about the other 2/3 ? I now they have water pumping out there too - so I would say after last years drought - which covered the whole state - that 120 may not be out of the question here .
Well ___ i know -- I know -- ECi your full of chit here - LOL
But to this point --- This is why the trade is not to worried -- yet
Have good one ! Got to go watch the Air Tractor working just South of me

You need to look at my morning weather - then see if you think your numbers will hold up. And I'm still waiting for my rain and radar picture.

Re: Do's Rain --Really make Grain ?
Lots of water pumping in Nebraska so far with some stress on irrigated due to lack of submoisture - west of US hwy 81 most dryland is going to be toast by Monday with 90 - 100 temps and no precip - doubtful if we meet last year trends without supplamental rain real soon - seen it was 80 in St. Louis early this am ---
