Probably what bothers me more, I used to be a lot higher on that very same list, until I got suckered into their (the USDA) stinking "acre" program.
As long as ISU continues to do research on pests and their control, crop production improvements, and other projects that benefit all of us in agriculture directly, I don't think I will complain too loudly. If they have to play the USDA "game" to get funding to make it happen, I guess that is what they will do. I don't imagine much would happen if they just passed the hat around looking for donations. I fear that if the donations came from large chemical companies and such, the information generated might tend to be skewed.
