Looks like one of the driest on record.

Doesn't have 2014 yet but probably soon.

where is chicago??  Do you really think it was posted for their benefit?

 

 

That does bring up a good future trivia question.  What year did Chicago floor trading loose relevaance to the market?

Doesn't matter to me if Chicago doesn't care -- they've been late to the party before.  Just looked those up and posted them in case some kind of similar pattern develops.  Have seen it happen that way before.  2012 comparisons to old maps were quite telling and somewhat predictive, for example.  My area in 2013 was very similar to 1995 -- wet spring, then nothing.  1977 pre-dates my own farming experience and is interesting because of the extreme cold weather pattern and drought areas being somewhat similar to now, and looks like 1977 drought area extended across a broad area of the corn belt.

If drought is only getting started, why is everyone concerned with $2-$4 corn?
