It would be nice if the tax breaks and subsidies big oil has been sucking on for decades became a front and center issue in the next presidential debate.

Ask the Senator from Oklahoma about "big oil" saying they don't want the tax credit on ethanol ---easy solution SEND IT BACK---uncle sam accepts checks

Some of the comments on the floor during the debat suggests a different proposal could be forthcoming soon. Some said they were voting no because the amentment did not come to the floor through regular channels. They want such a proposal to be properly vetted in committee first. One Senator even projected they would have it back in 30 days. My guess is it will nto be for total elimination of the blenders credit next time but some type of phased reduction.
