You`d never know it from listening to US media, but China is in pain, the Renminbi has fallen, the Shanghai exchange has fallen. Despite those that intensely dislike the president and siding with the communist regime in trade talks. China is maybe not yet crying uncle, but willing to talk...beans up 28 cents thank you very much.
This from DW News
China, US to resume trade talks
China has said it will hold a fresh round of trade talks with the United States in Washington later this month, providing some hope that the current conflict between the world's two largest economies can be defused.
The Chinese government announced Thursday that a delegation led by Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen would meet with US representatives led by David Malpass later this month.
The world's two largest economies have implemented several rounds of tit-for-tat tariffs on each other's goods since the start of the ... and have threatened further duties on imported goods worth hundreds of billions of dollars.
The announcement of the forthcoming meeting came after a lull in talks between the two sides. The last official round of negotiations took place in early June.
It remained unclear whether the gathering would take place before or after August 23 when Washington is due to slap additional tariffs on $16 billion (€14 billion) of Chinese goods.
As China announced its willingness to resume talks, the Communist Party's newspaper People's Daily once again argued that US companies and consumers would be hit hard by the trade conflict.
It said US President Donald Trump's "America First" policy had caused economic trouble for the country, pointing to examples like losses incurred by US soybean farmers.
"The voices of producers, the international community and expert groups have been pouring forth, but the US administration is turning a deaf ear to them," the newspaper said in a commentary.
The news of the upcoming talks helped Chinese stocks reduce losses in Shanghai and Hong Kong in early trading on Thursday.

There`s instances of unmurdered South African farmers moving to Ukraine and really going to town farming. And those poor people were worked over by communists for decades have forgotten how to farm without requesting things from bureaucrats in triplicate. As Smokey can tell you, his ancestors exported Turkey Red to Denmark prior to 1917. But China, they are like a Macys hot air balloon, they build ghost cities with no one living there all to keep the façade of 8% GDP growth, buy buy buy corn a store it until it spoils....and they think they`re gonna dictate terms of deals to us??? Lord knows the US media has been on their side though.
Here`s the David Kruse latest Trump bashing masked as "marketing information".

I just keep hearing a continuous message in these parts, from '' Farm Financial '' outfit quoting we need free trade - not tariff's - who do I believe ?
Low cost products out of Ukraine - where did that pie in the sky come from & why the exit out of the south after resettlement there post 1945 ?

Well, K-289 the truth rarely, if ever is determined by popular consensus, the majority rejected Jesus (probably a greater majority would reject Him today) the majority of the media intensely dislike the current president. And with markets, the job of the market is to prove the greatest number of participants wrong and it does (I`m raising my hand now). I will say this, agriculture in a vacuum does really well with free trade, however one man Jeff Bezos could buy all the US wheat produced all the US corn produced and all the US soybeans produced. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet could probably buy the US annual production of hogs & cattle....we`re small potatoes in the US economy.

illinfarmer, do you know how to "create" economic growth? A few ways is hire a guy to go around town breaking windows, in doing that you employ someone to clean up the broken glass and the window company that replaces the glass and secondary insurance agents, police investigators, the factory workers that manufacture windows.....or you could build ghost cities as China did "Whoopty-Doo! We got 8% GDP growth!".
Jesus was hated and the hatred of Trump is similar and let`s look at the scum that intensely dislikes the current president, those that disrespect the American flag, atheists and satan worshippers.
There’s a long list of people and groups who vociferously opposed President Trump while he was on the campaign trail, and continued to do so when he took the oath of office Friday. (Jan. 20). The national Women’s March in Washington D.C, which spawned several demonstrations across the country, is just one example of the ire the president has merited. Yet, among the thousands of women who proudly took to the streets in protest of Trump were women from the Satanic Temple, a group of self-proclaimed atheists and satanists.
Footage captured Saturday (Jan. 21) showed a group of women wearing all black holding the Satanic Temple sign. As they walked down the street, one member introduced herself to a reporter and briefly explained why she, along with the rest of the Satanic Temple members, are opposed to Trump.
“He’s going to take most of our rights away. Not happy about that. We want to protect you,” she said.
A quick search of the Satanic Temple’s FAQ section, and one will find the religious sect doesn’t promote a personal belief in Satan, but rather “Satan is symbolic of the Eternal Rebel in opposition to arbitrary authority, forever defending personal sovereignty even in the face of insurmountable odds. Satan is an icon for the unbowed will of the unsilenced inquirer.”
People that don`t believe in God and individuals that worship the devil hate the president, by their deeds ye shall know them.
