Evening Trade 7/27

Starting early this evening- watching the price here at 690 (note that Sept and Dec are trading the same price now).  Buyers tried all day to break the price thru 690, and finally suceeded with about 15 minutes left in trading, only to see it come back down here early in evening trading. SOMEONE is keeping the price of corn at 690. Not sure why, not sure how, but it is definitely happening.

1905 ET

Prices locked at 689-690.

** my take ** -  if we can ever break thru 690 there is room above. down side is limited- every time it tries to sell-off there is support at 675-680. We have been in a seriously tight trading range for about 5 days now. It is probably time for a move.

0710 ET

Well here we are locked at 690. Something is going to happen soon.

Re: Evening Trade 7/27

I went to check cows tonight and someone had checked their corn and thrown their ear on the road, or dropped it or whatever, but it was about 40% pollinated or at least had 40% of the kernels being filled on the ear.  It was the worst ear I've seen in a long time.

Re: Evening Trade 7/27

The ear was possibly dropped on the road by a raccoon.

Even a coon never thought it was good enough to take home.
