Re: Everybody out there on tract for that 166 yield?
Got to make 150 first. I took the 140ish in MT's little challenge.
Mother nature is in charge, not college dudes with crayons and graph paper.
I think Monday's forecasted rain or lack of it will make it or break it earlier this year than in years past. Usually is in the middle of July not the 10th of June. going to take more than a half inch this time and be WIDESPREAD

The most important person in agriculture says not to put too much stock in a bunch of dumb farmers whining about the weather. How important can a couple of hydrogen atoms attached to an oxygen atom be anyway?

Re: Everybody out there on tract for that 166 yield?
Sorry guy but the most important person in agriculture is that bunch of dumb farmers. That being said
a few years ago when the Ill farmers were whining, I went for a road trip and their crop they were whinning about looked better than the one I had here in Iowa I was very happy with. (turned out they had a good crop).
This crop is not lost yet. Need a rain in the next 10 days to keep it above 150 in the I states.

My farmer says that our crops look the best they have ever for this time of year. If the timely rains keep coming we will be looking at a record buster. North central Iowa.

Don't look now but that big 36 hr rain event has been reduced to an 8 hr CHANCE for a large portion of the midwest.
