Re: F-Y-I

Question CX.   Why are large funds typically short CBOT and long KC and MW wheat?  (although I note that they are slightly long CBOT for the last little while)

Re: F-Y-I

i've always noticed that, as well -- have no idea....it's never affected the market or trend, though.

Re: F-Y-I

'nother question for you CX!

Why is  http://snalaska.net/cot/current/charts/S.png this bullish?  It looks to me funds already have an extremely long position.  Who is left to buy?

Re: F-Y-I

best i can tell Canuck - the graph from your website ends in March of 2012 and we are in 2014 last i checked the calendarSmiley Wink

1 thing interesting about your graph, though, is although beans had a good correction beginning about 5 weeks after the data set ends 3/20 - beans continued their uptrend for 3-4 more months then - so mkts can stay "overbought" for a while and keep going.

last 2 weeks the comm have taken off 18-19k shorts -  when the commercials are buying and taking off shorts or covering more shorts than liquidating longs by 5 figures or more, as was the case last week:
