Soybeans were higher in overnight trading after a report showed Brazil sales lagged last year's pace while US sales continue to stay ahead of 2016. Beans gained 4 cents, corn was down a tick and wheat fell 3 cents. Money managers were net-short on soybeans for the first time in 13 months as estimates for Brazil's crop continues to get bigger. In weather news, storms are expected in parts of north Texas while extremely dry weather is forecast in the Ohio Valley.

Here's what happened overnight:

Brent Crude Oil = 0.9% higher.

West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil = 0.8% higher.

Dollar = up 0.1%.

Wall Street = U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading.

World Markets = Global stocks lower amid rising geopolitical concerns

A 7 1/2 cent gain in corn is a good day.    No idea what the reason was/is.........came on this successful farming site to find out.  Guess I'll have to look elsewhere.  Smiley Wink

Expectation of a decline in carry. Because of export numbers. That's my guess.
