Floor Talk, April 6, 2020

At the close:

At the close, the May corn futures ended 3 1/4¢ lower at $3.27 1/2. July corn futures closed 3 1/2¢ lower at $3.33.

May soybean futures finished 1 1/4¢ higher at $8.55 1/2. July soybean futures closed 1 3/4¢ higher at $8.61 1/2.

May wheat futures settled 6 1/2¢ higher at $5.55 3/4.

May soymeal futures finished $6.20 per short ton lower at $297.00.

May soy oil futures closed $0.40 cents higher at 26.83¢ per pound.



In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is $1.83 per barrel lower, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 1,209 points higher.

At midsession, the May corn futures are 3 1/4¢ lower at $3.27 1/2. July corn futures are 3 1/2¢ lower at $3.33.

May soybean futures are 3 1/4¢ higher at $8.57 1/2. July soybean futures are 3¢ higher at $8.62 1/2.

May wheat futures are 7 3/4¢ higher at $5.57 1/2.


May soymeal futures are $4.90 per short ton lower at $298.30.

May soy oil futures are $0.41 cents higher at 26.84¢ per pound.



In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is $1.83 per barrel lower, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 1,209 points higher.

I totally agree......... same for the grains......   absolutely no regulation to the process.

We need federal layoffs in mass.
