At the close:

The Dec. corn futures settled unchanged at $3.65.

Nov. soybean futures finished 4 1/4 cents lower at $10.23.

 

Dec. wheat futures finished 5 3/4 cents higher at $5.62.

 

Dec. soymeal futures closed $0.70 higher at $344.20. Dec. soyoil futures closed $0.36 lower at $32.81.

 

In the outside markets, the crude oil is $0.11 per barrel lower, the dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 7 points higher.

At 10am:

According to EIA data, ethanol production averaged 913,000 barrels per day (b/d)—or 38.35 million gallons daily. That is down 24,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 921,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.12 billion gallons.

Stocks of ethanol stood at 17.3 million barrels. That is a 5.1% decrease from last week and a 14-week low. It also represented the largest week-to-week percent change in stocks since a 5.6% build during the week ending 1/17/2014. Stocks were under the 20-day supply mark for the first time since late May, according to the Renewable Fuels Association press release.

At 9am:

 

The Dec. corn futures are trading 2 cents lower at $3.63.

Nov. soybean futures are trading 4 3/4 cents higher at $10.32.

 

Dec. wheat futures are 1 1/4 cents higher at $5.57.

 

Dec. soymeal futures are $2.30 higher at $345.80. Dec. soyoil futures are trading $0.04 higher at $33.21.

 

In the outside markets, the crude oil is $0.14 per barrel higher, the dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 1 points lower.

Early calls: Corn 2-4 cents lower, soybeans 2-4 cents higher, and wheat 1-2 cents lower.

Trackers:
Overnight grain, soybean markets = Trading mostly lower.
Crude Oil = $0.18 per barrel higher.
Dollar = Lower.
Wall Street = Seen higher, building on strong close from yesterday.
World Markets = Europe stocks were mostly lower, Asia/Pacific stocks were mostly higher.

Am hearing a rumor in local area about a lot of Sudden Death Syndrome happening in some areas.

Any more on that or is it just a wild rumor?

 

White mold is the big robber around here.

 There has been quite a bit of SDS showing up in my area of Central MO the last two weeks. My fields are the worst I can remember at this stage.  Patrick
