At the close:
At the close, the Sept. corn futures closed 17 1/2¢ lower at $5.40 1/2. New crop Dec. futures ended 11 1/2¢ lower at $5.42. March corn futures settled 9 1/2¢ lower at $5.50.
Sept. soybean futures closed 54 1/4¢ lower at $13.04.
Nov. soybean futures closed 20¢ lower at $13.03. January soybean futures finished 17 3/4¢ lower at $13.09.
Dec. wheat futures ended 9¢ lower at $7.23 1/2.
Dec. soymeal futures settled $5.20 per short ton lower at $347.20.
Dec. soy oil futures finished $0.73 lower at 59.61¢ per pound.
In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is 0.42 higher (+0.61%) at $69.16. The U.S. dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 17 points lower (-0.05%) at 35,438 points.

1) hope this is just a knee jerk reaction to the hurricane possibly damaging some export capacity and delaying shipping. Key word delaying.
2) been reports of great yields harvested from Arkansas south already on the corn side.
Bean side not so great.
3) had conversation with a good sized farmer neighbor this am. He has no idea where all the crop in this area will be stored. He is looking at really above average yields for this area in general.
Thinks corn will be in the fours easily. He also just got back from south Dakota said it is bad there.
4) Then there is $£|t show in DC. Who/what is running that? George Soros? Nothing short of treason at the highest levels. Giving a "hunt them down and kill em" list of Americans left behind.
Arming the the sworn enemies of our country with what? Oh yea a billion dollars worth of state of the art weaponry. High treason
This morning's grain market a beginning of a vote of no confidence?
