Re: Floor Talk August 4, 2020
You are a bad lawyer unless you're counting on having a severely biased jury.
I can at least express reasonable doubt that a Clinton Administration would have assisted a RW coup in Brazil, or systematically gone out of its way to drive a wedge in our relationships with every ally that might be of assistance in curbing China.
Or have sent Larry, Moe and Curly to trade talks.

Re: Floor Talk August 4, 2020
If she’d been President we might have a fair amount of the really dangerous stuff that we’ll face over the months following this next election behind us. But probably not enough of it to put it all to bed.
Which will be the task of a newly led alphabet of departments.
The Greenwald piece that you posted at the forum offers encouragement. In that at least somebody who can possibly do something is at least somewhat aware of what will need to be done.

Sdholloway, so you are speculating that a Hillary Clinton administration would`ve successfully interfered with Brazil`s free & fair election and got in a tree hugging administration that wouldn`t expand soybean production? LOL!
What send Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert down there to bombard the country with unfunny monologues every evening? 🙂

Re: Floor Talk August 4, 2020
Here is a quote from the latest Corn Growers Email Promotion: "Indiana ethanol plants running at 60-65 percent capacity." That might have something to do with the price. 🙂
For the Dave/Rick duet: My questions were completely ignored, typical for the other side. Fair questions:
1. Who are Biden's Ag and Economic Advisors?
2. What will a Biden economic plan look like, even have one?
3. What will he do with a rapidly escalating china?
4. Who will his VP pick be, it is August 6th for goodness sake.
Lastly, reporting the facts about China does not make one a kook on coolaid. The first refuge of liars and cheats is to blame their opponents patriotism and religion, while ignoring legit questions....

Re: Floor Talk August 4, 2020
The most immediately concerning matter is that Sonny has been seen in crowds without a mask- if the money shoveler gets sick it could represent an existential crisis for agriculture, where bankruptcies are surging despite record transfer payments as a % of NFI.
I'm not really sure that the Ds need a farm policy plank*- 90% of farmers will vote R anyway and it is a tiny cohort. That is the potential future political problem that I've alluded to.
As far as China goes and the desire to start a new cold war to cover for massive failure. Yes, in the interim from the time when Farm Bureau and the commodity groups were the #1 lobby for bringing China into WTO (passed by a Republican majority) there were points where we should have pulled back a little. There were clear signs that the theory that market capitalism would inevitably result in liberalization was in question.
However we became consumed in multi-$T failed military adventures and a multi-$T financial crime spree that, along with other self inflicted wounds, consumed us.
The only way out is to look reality square in the face. That won't happen with a POTUS who has lied 20K times and a party where a bizarre conspiracy cult is becoming the mainstream.
*didn't see a lot of enthusiasm for Warren's I Have a Plan plan, which included breaking up the supply monopolies. Although I think that would be an excellent start.

The only significant importance of My Farmers in this election is like those pore coal miners- who got screwed without the cash being left on the dresser.

Re: Floor Talk August 4, 2020
USDA farm numbers are meaningless but for lack of better data, there are around 150k in MI, PA and WI.
So you could say that farmers put Dennison over the top in’16- a combined 100k margin in those 3 overcame a 3M pop vote deficit.
He could even do a shout-out to Ghislaine Maxwell to stay strong in prison and the farm vote won’t change a lot.

Here`s Biden`s China plan
If you can decipher it. I had no idea the W.H.O. was into trade....C`mon Man!
https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2020/08/06/racist-biden-blacks-have-no-diversity-of-thought/
RUSH: Audio sound bite number 2. This is again the National Association Black Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists virtual convention where Joe Biden has just said (paraphrasing), “Yeah, by the way, what you all know” — he’s talking to a Hispanic female reporter — “what you know most people don’t know, unlike the black community, the Latino community’s incredibly diverse, incredibly different attitudes about different things, unlike the black community. And we know the black community like nobody knows the black community. We know.”
Same convention, same place, same reporter, Lulu Garcia-Navarro says to Biden, “So if you scrap the president’s tariffs on China, what do you want in return? If you’re gonna get rid of those, are you just gonna scrap ’em without any concessions from the Chinese?”
BIDEN: The way Trump — the way China will respond is when we gather the rest of the world and that fact invades in in free – in, in open trade and making sure that we’re in a position that the world — that we deal with WHO the right way. That, that in fact, that’s when things begin to change.
RUSH: And there’s another reason why there will not be a debate. There won’t be one debate, there won’t be two, there won’t be four. Here. This is amusing. Let’s listen to this again. Remember, the question. “Okay. So if you scrap Trump’s tariffs on the ChiComs,” which, by the way, are working “if you scrap the tariffs, what do you want from the ChiComs in return, or is it nothing, you’re just gonna scrap the tariffs and not demand the ChiComs make any concessions?”
BIDEN: The way Trump — the way China will respond is when we gather the rest of the world and that fact invades in in free – in, in open trade and making sure that we’re in a position that the world — that we deal with WHO the right way. That, that in fact, that’s when things begin to change.
RUSH: So this is why yesterday I made a big point, whoever is putting Biden out there is doing all of this on purpose. They’re subjecting him to this ridicule. They’re putting him out here in these circumstances that he is not capable of existing in, not capable of performing. His mental acuity is — well, it’s vanishing by the day. Let’s read this by the transcript. “The way Trump — the way China will respond” — the question was, what’s he gonna do, if he scraps Trump’s tariffs, are you gonna demand other concessions, or are you just gonna let it go?
“The way Trump — the way China will respond is when we gather the rest of the world and that fact invades in in free – in, in open trade and making sure that we’re in a position that the world — that we deal with WHO the right way.” That’s the World Health Organization. It’s got nothing to do with tariffs. The World Health Organization is in the ChiComs’ back pocket, “That we deal with WHO the right way. That, that in fact, that’s when things begin to change.”
He has no idea what he said. He has no idea what the question was, folks. Now, somebody, a lot of people in the Democrat Party are throwing him out there and subjecting him to this, such is their rabid, unrequited desire to get rid of Donald Trump. But this can’t even be much less part of a debate. They can’t allow this to keep happening. This is part of the campaign, for crying out loud.

Re: Here`s Biden`s China plan
You will all get your 3.5 billion carry no matter what the yield in iowa is....... If a massive hail takes it all out tomorrow...
3.5 billion carry is guaranteed.... No matter who you vote for or what your crop makes.... those career federal employees are already in place and there is too much "face" to save for the yield to be anything else.... History proves beyond the shadow of a doubt.... the 2020 historic yield recorded and referred too for decades will be based on the bushels usda reports not the bushels actually raised. Credit may have once been given to the farmer for the crop, the best a farmer can hope for in this bureaucracy is to get the blame for what seems wrong with the crop....deflecting the responsibility from those who won't leave the trappings of DC and a career in public service.
(and your wrong slightly time.... attacking someones religion and patriotism is the first thing you do when you don't have anything else to support...... a candidate that can't win, or a political party that can't conduct a state primary without a controversy, Or dont have a young candidate that party will support, or a female candidate that the voters will support........ well that problem could be the long list of looser democrat women already in office. If your party is passing covid by the brick pile and pretending to perfect the hippy commune while destroying private businesses in the name of righteousness ...... ya got nothing else to say..... "That 30 billion lost trade deal is why we have to borrow 20 trillion in debt" It is as senseless as these self righteous face mask screamers thinking fear is the worlds last hope or more likely that they can win an election by fear.) It will be a landslide vote against all of the above...The majority of voters just are not that dumb.
It is not too early to start screaming about how the "electoral college" is a demon force of nature bound to destroy democracy------ keep that mask on....... It muffles and muzzles very well.
