Beans are flying out of the bin this week as China bought another 252,000 tons from the U.S., the Department of Agriculture said yesterday. It's been that way for a week now, but futures can't hold on to gains and taper by the end of the day. Let's see if that streak ends today. Sales were good in the seven days through July 28, and after this week's announcements they should be good again in next week's USDA sales report.

Here's what happened overnight:

Brent Crude Oil = 0.9% lower.
West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil = 0.8% lower.

Dollar = down 0.2%.

Wall Street = U.S. stock futures higher in overnight trading.
World Markets = Global stocks improve on improve stimulus measures, weaker dollar.

Re: Floor Talk August 5

West central Kansas is Green from north to south. Water standing in many lagoons. Going to be a big crop out there. Lots and lots of 100+ bpa milo on the way.Dryland corn looks excellent too.

What ever is short in ne Indiana and Ohio is more than compensated for with what is in Kansas alone (more than in the last 6 years). Huge area of great crops well on its way.
