Soybean futures were higher overnight as hot, dry weather has hurt crops in the Midwest, as indicated by this week's crop progress report from the USDA. There's also optimism from Oil World that China may come back to the US in the fourth quarter as Brazilian supplies run low. Still, the ongoing trade war between the US and China was ratcheted up a notch yesterday when Washington said it would put tariffs on another $16 billion worth of Chinese goods. In weather news, severe thunderstorms are rolling through central Oklahoma today, causing flooding in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Check out today's 3 Big Things for all the details.
