Floor Talk December 14

Soybeans were lower overnight as wet weather moves into growing regions of South America. Futures were off by about 4 cents, corn lost a penny and wheat was down 2 to 3 cents in overnight trading. Rain is expected in several states in Argentina and Brazil, giving prospects there a boost after a dry start to their most recent growing seasons. In the 16- to 30-day outlook, however, precip is expected to be limited in much of Argentina, though Brazil will see rain, according to Commodity Weather Group.

Here's what happened overnight:

Brent Crude Oil = 1.4% lower.

West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil = 1.4% lower.

Dollar = down 0.2%.

Wall Street = U.S. stock futures little changed in overnight trading.
World Markets = Global stocks lower as US Fed expected to raise rates today.
