Floor Talk - December 18
At the close:
The March corn futures are trading 2 3/4 cents higher at $4.11 per bushel.
January soybean futures are trading 8 cents higher at $10.35.
March wheat futures are trading 6 3/4 cents higher to $6.55 1/4.
In the outside markets, the crude oil is $2.29 per barrel lower to $54.18, the dollar is higher, and Dow Jones Industrials are 287 points higher to 17,644.
"USDA this morning indicated net weekly corn export sales of 698,500 MT for the week ending December 11, which was in the middle of expectations, but 268,700 MT was booked for unknown destinations," says Alan Brugler, market analyst.
"The USDA weekly export sales report indicated a need for some additional markets, with net sales last week at 509,500 MT including 33,200 MT of new crop. Trade estimates for soybeans in the weekly USDA export sales report were for 500,000-850,000 MT, and USDA had the figure at 1.046 MMT, with 350,000 MT of the total booked for 2015/16. Net weekly soybean meal sales were 146,800 MT."

At the open:
The March corn futures are trading 3/4 of a cent higher at $4.09 per bushel.
January soybean futures are trading 4 1/2 cents higher at $10.31 1/2.
March wheat futures are trading 9 3/4 cents higher to $6.58 1/4.
In the outside markets, the crude oil is $.35 per barrel higher to $56.82 and Dow Jones Industrials are 208 points higher to 17,565.
