Floor Talk December 23

Well it's December 23 and you know what that means -- you still have TWO FULL DAYS TO SHOP for Christmas! If you're anything like me, you'll use today to think about what you should buy over a beer or two, then hit the mall tomorrow to pick up what you need. Have a good weekend and a Merry Christmas you all!

Soybeans and corn were slightly lower overnight, falling about 1/2 cent each, as more rain is expected in Argentina and Brazil. Export sales were off week-over-week, but were still relativly strong, topping 1.25 million tons for corn and 1.8 million tons for beans.

Here's what happened overnight:

Brent Crude Oil = 1% lower.

West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil = 1% lower.

Dollar = down 0.1%.

Wall Street = U.S. stock futures lower in overnight trading.
World Markets = Global stocks little changed as oil declines.

Another half day for traders to just continue taking profits on a market they have spent over a week destroying. Merry Christmas greedy 1% America.

It appears that the bulls got Thanksgiving and the bears are getting Christmas.   Just how much money do they need?

Food is plentiful and affordable.  But just wait until the next glich in crop production.  Food prices will skyrocket and the farmers along with the ethanol industry will get the blame.

Food is plentiful and affordable.  Markets are down.  Traders are taking profits.  What is illogical about this?  Why aren't we doing this?  Producers could have done the same thing.  Why didn't we?  Who is to blame?  Surely not us.  Oh, no, not us.  It must be those evil traders.
