Floor Talk December 30

At the close:

Corn closed down a few cents, soybeans traded much lower most of the session but ended just 3 cents lower. Wheat closed at a new 19-month low.

 

Less demand showing up for wheat, new rains for South America's crops pushed down the farm markets.

At 12:45pm:

The March corn futures contract is trading 4 cents lower at $4.23. The March soybean futures contract is trading 12 cents lower at $13.01. March wheat futures are 6 3/4 cents lower at $6.02 per bushel. The March soymeal futures contract is trading $2.90 per short ton lower at $424.30. The March soyoil futures are trading $0.41 lower at $38.94.
In the outside markets, the NYMEX Brent crude oil is $0.90 per barrel lower, the dollar is lower and the Dow Jones Industrials are 25 points lower.

At 9am:

In early trading, the March corn futures contract is trading 2 3/4 cents lower at $4.24. The March soybean futures contract is trading 3 3/4 cents lower at $13.10. March wheat futures are 2 cents higher at $6.07 per bushel. The March soymeal futures contract is trading $0.50 per short ton lower at $426.70. The March soyoil futures are trading $0.17 lower at $39.18.
In the outside markets, the NYMEX Brent crude oil is $0.55 per barrel lower, the dollar is lowher and the Dow Jones Industrials are 10 points higher.

Early calls: Corn is seen 1-2 cents lower, soybeans 7-9 cents lower, and wheat 1-2 cents lower.

Trackers:
Overnight grain, soybean markets=Trading lower.
Crude Oil=$0.56 per barrel lower.
Dollar=Lower.

Wall Street=Seen higher.

World Markets=Asia/Pacific stocks were mixed to higher, Europe stocks lower.
