Floor Talk December 4

At the close:

At the close, the March corn futures settled 4 1/2 cents higher at $3.81 1/2. January soybean futures settled 8 1/2 cents higher at $9.06. 
March wheat futures closed 5 3/4 cents higher at $4.84 1/2. 
Jan. soymeal futures closed $2.50 per short lower at $284.90. Jan. soyoil futures closed $1.21 higher at $32.08.  
In the outside markets, the Brent Crude oil market is $0.71 lower per barrel, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 368 points higher.

At mid-session:

At mid-session, the March corn futures are trading 2 3/4 cents higher at $3.79 3/4. January soybean futures are trading 1/2 of a cent lower at $8.97. 
March wheat futures are trading 4 cents higher at $4.82. 
Jan. soymeal futures are $0.90 per short lower at $286.50. Jan. soyoil futures are trading $0.23 higher at $31.10.  
In the outside markets, the Brent Crude oil market is $0.53 lower per barrel, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 237 points higher.

If you missed it earlier:

Private exporters reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture the following activity:
    •    Export sales of 178,000 metric tons of soybeans for delivery to China during the 2015/2016 marketing year; and
    •    Export sales of 249,000 metric tons of soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations during the 2015/2016 marketing year.
The marketing year for soybeans began Sept. 1.

At 9:30am, the March corn futures are trading 2 cents higher at $3.79. January soybean futures are trading 1 3/4 cents higher at $8.99. 
March wheat futures are trading 3 1/4 cents higher at $4.82. 
Jan. soymeal futures are unchanged at $287.40. Jan. soyoil futures are trading $0.21 higher at $31.08.  
In the outside markets, the Brent Crude oil market is $0.71 lower per barrel, the U.S. dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 212 points higher.

Early calls: Corn 1-2 cents higher, soybeans 2-4 cents lower and wheat 2-4 cents higher.

 

Trackers:
Overnight grain, soybean markets = Trading mixed.
Brent Crude Oil = $0.62 higher.
Dollar =Higher.  
Wall Street = Seen higher, with U.S. Jobs Report showing 211,000 jobs in November vs. 200,000 estimated. This gives the Fed the green light to raise rates, experts say.

World Markets = Europe stocks were lower, Asia/Pacific stocks were lower.
