Floor Talk February 20

Trading is closed today in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. Money managers last week boosted their bets on rising corn prices to the highest level since late June, according to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Net-long positions in soybeans and hard-red winter wheat jumped, and bets on lower soft-red winter wheat fell last week, the CFTC said. In weather news, eastern Iowa is expected to get a spring-like rain shower today with up to an inch possible. Much of that will run off as the ground is still frozen in places, which could lead to some flooding in the area, the National Weather Service said.

Here's what happened overnight:

Brent Crude Oil = 0.6% higher.

West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil = 0.5% higher.

Dollar = down 0.1%.

Wall Street = U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading.

World Markets = Global stocks lower as most US markets closed.
