Re: Floor Talk January 3

In 1973 my dad bought me a 69 camaro SS that had just gotten an over haul. I don't remember the miles but it was only 4 years. I now have 250000 on my 2000 suburban and it has developed a lifter tick when it's cold. Gotta be that d@mned ethanol causing it.

AAA

their stance on ethanol caused me to become a former member of 40+ years. Even though they are a supposed to be a non profit organization they reek of big oil.

Re: AAA

I thought AAA was dead years ago. Why would anyone ever think off giving that group any money? If you want map directions to a certain place, there are numerous places on the internet where you can get it for FREE. They are outdated years ago and  have not changed with the future. Keep your money.

Re: AAA

Maybe there are better places to get towing done.  I know for fact that my kids and wife use the towing service quite a bit.  We all purchase the Rv plan.  Two kids do rural mail,  that means at least 2 tows of more than 50 miles at least once a year. My wife has hit 7 deer in the last 2 years.  Twice she had to towed. She works a 2nd shift, and drives home around 1 Am.  She doesn't even call me anymore. I just sleep thru it.  LOL  Old vans, but paid for.

Re: AAA

Farmer46;  You can add towing and road service onto your auto insurance for a few dollars per auto. It is still get it cheaper then AAA.       Ask your agent.

Re: AAA

Slim, you are correct.  I checked my policy and roadside assistance costs me $2.50 every 6 months.  This covers towing and a rental car if your car quits on the road or is damaged in an accident.
