Re: not floor talk, but
Just couldn't take it any more ... sold one trailer load of corn after dinner. 25 cents up at the time +30 basis off of Sept., 30 day delivery time period.
BTW: why the ignoring me by the management around here on my suggestion of a little all expense paid trip for us regulars on here to Iceland to do a corn suitability study for a week or 10 days? Surely with "global warming and all, that place may have potential?
How about here?http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/nt-30_metric_e.html ... they are getting rain and the temps for at least a bean crop. somebody on here wanted story ideas... well here are two with a photo op with all the "experts" from here that you take with you.

Re: not floor talk, but
That would be B-team Jeff,
Jeff I think you have your story, or maybe a series, on the mental and physical mutations of the typical farmer during drought and heat stress.....
I submitt this thread as living proof of the neeeeeeeed for your work-------------like that guy that took pictures during the 1930's ---------
Consider it jeff----------------just a fellow Kansan trying to lead you into a pulitzer--------------or maybe a McCormick.

Re: Floor Talk July 2
At 6:35pm:
The overnight markets are trading higher, on the Globex. July corn has jumped over the $7 mark.
Crop ratings Monday has a lot to do with that yellow line rising on the right-hand column of tonight's July futures chart.

Re: not floor talk, but
Hobby; you do not have to go that far.
Check out Earlton Ontario
http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/on-136_metric_e.html
or Englehart both in the Little Clay Belt in northern Ontario.
Nice farm land and their forecast even has rain tonight.

Re: not floor talk, but
Canuck: ya gotta read between the lines here ... don't tell the management here but when you wish for something make it worthwhile (don't waste a wish) Those are two places on my "bucket list'. if I come up missing for a while I might just be at one or the other.
