Floor Talk July 26

At the close:

At the close, the September corn futures settled 2 1/4¢ higher at $3.61 1/2. December futures finished 2 1/2¢ higher at $3.75 3/4.

 

August soybean futures closed 1/2¢ higher at $8.61 1/4.  November soybean futures finished 1/4¢ higher at $8.76.

 

September wheat futures ended 6 1/4¢ lower at $5.36 1/2.

Sep. soymeal futures are $2.70 per short ton higher at $332.10. August soy oil futures 0.26¢ lower at 28.15.

In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is $0.31 higher, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 151 points higher.

At mid-day, the September corn futures are 3 1/2¢ higher at $3.62. December futures are 3 1/2¢ higher at $3.76.

 

August soybean futures are 3¢ higher at $8.63.  November soybean futures are 2 3/4¢ higher at $8.78.

 

September wheat futures are 5 1/2¢ lower at $5.37.

August soymeal futures are $2.90 per short ton higher at $332.90. August soy oil futures 0.04¢ lower at 28.37.

In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is $0.46 higher, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 129 points higher.

In early trading, the September corn futures are 5¢ higher at $3.64. December futures are 5¢ higher at $3.78.

 

August soybean futures are 10 3/4¢ higher at $8.71.  November soybean futures are 10 3/4¢ higher at $8.86.

 

September wheat futures are 10 1/2¢ higher at $5.53.

August soymeal futures are $5.30 per short ton higher at $335.30. August soy oil futures 0.03¢ higher at 28.44.

In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is $0.03 higher, the U.S. dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 127 points higher.

Soybeans jumped overnight after President Trump and EC President Juncker announced a deal in which the European Union would buy more of the oilseeds from the US. Beans gained 18 cents, corn was up 6 cents and wheat added 7-8 cents in overnight trading. Ethanol production, meanwhile, rose to its highest level in the US since late December, the Energy Information Administration said.
