Like I said there was alot of time to lock in your corn needs thanks to the USDA. It's just to bad alot people did believe them and now have caught them with their pants down.

You can't go down that road. We hold out for the chepest price just like you hold for the highest, that's human nature. I will say though that demand is going to fall sooner than later. If we do go to 7,8,9.00 and keep that price for a while there will be masive liqudation and the price won't be there for long.

Like I said I want to keep up with the hog guys so when it hits nine I will sell three years out. My beans i am holding out for 18. Maybe I will be able to buy that ten thousand acre land then.

4.50 was cheap when land is selling for 10 thousand an acre.

Friend of mine who works in a feedlot, says that they bought on the board for under $5, but now the basis has changed, and the delivery against their contracts, is bringing it up to 'around' $5.50, by the time it is delivered.
