Floor Talk June 14, 2020

At the close:

At the close, the July corn futures closed 25 1/4¢ lower at $6.59. New crop September futures finished 31 1/2¢ lower at $5.98. December corn futures closed 28 1/2¢ lower at $5.81 3/4.

July soybean futures ended 36 1/4¢ lower at $14.72 1/2.

August soybean futures closed 41 1/4¢ lower at $14.41. New crop November soybean futures finished 43¢ lower at $13.95 1/4.

July wheat futures closed 6 1/2¢ lower at $6.74 1/4.


July soymeal futures finished $9.40 per short ton lower at $373.90.


July soy oil futures settled $1.02 lower at 65.969¢ per pound.

In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is +0.06 lower (-0.08%) at $70.85. The U.S. dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 248 points lower (-0.72%) at 34,230 points.

Crops are drying up in places but by all means drop the prices you fn idiots!!!

Fake news....... ?  or just fake headlines?

July corn trading around 19-20 cents down from the previous close......--- shading the market 

Statements like this are a clue to the shading of the story------"New-crop September futures"

Where can you get a contract for new crop corn based on the September futures market?  ----Or has south Texas now become the corn market?
