Floor Talk June 23
Soybeans were slightly higher overnight but grains were little changed on uncertain weather conditions. Some parts of the Midwest are pretty dry and have been all week while others are getting ample rain. Parts of Indiana and Ohio will get some leftovers from Tropical Storm Cindy, which should help crops. Soybeans were up 3 cents while corn and wheat were both changed by less than a penny. Export sales for corn were decent but sales for soybeans were down 67% week-over-week, according to the USDA. Yes, that's a weekly decline for those keeping track at home.
Here's what happened overnight:
Brent Crude Oil = up 0.3%.
West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil = up 0.3%.
Dollar = down 0.2%.
Wall Street = U.S. stock futures mixed in pre-market trading.
World Markets = Global stocks lower as pound pares weekly decline.

Re: Floor Talk June 23
.6 here at my farm in NW Ohio. Maybe a little more on the way. This doubles my total rainfall since May 28th. Very thankful.

Glad you caught some rain tiger1. Had .42 here last night. Makes my total since May 28 at 1.79". It was very spotty last night. Some haves and some have nots. Walked through some 5 foot tall corn on the way to the raspberry patch this morning. Crops do look good here. More rain will be needed. Raspberries and vanilla ice-cream will be the main coarse at the noon hour!!

Re: Floor Talk June 23
So, sounds like your soybean crop condition rating just went from 'poor' to 'excellent' on 250 acres.
