Re: Floor Talk June 29 (Report Day)

No surprise on acres, i thought the trade already figured in 96m corn and 76m beans.

What about stocks? corn down 14% and beans up 1%, anyone have that figured in?

Here are some of the acres... Just in my little slice of paradise there is steep pasture after steep hay ground that are pushing up LITTLE beans. I baled new seeding yesterday afternoon that had a 16/31 kinze show up just as I droped the last bale out of the baler.

These prices are going to cure themselves and reduce future productivity of our resources. Unless we can start farming the Gulf of Mexico, that is where southern Iowa hills are headed. Sinful

Looks like we are trading the lower dollar and the Euro will live again story.  Gold, silver and copper up sharply.

Re: Floor Talk June 29 (Report Day)

The red yellow cell just went over me, west of Ames Ia. Sidewalk is half wet and now it is over.

A couple days ago the weather man said we were to have a cell go over, yesterday,  to give us up to 1 1/2 inches.  Guess

what I baled hay yesterday.

I think they need to fine tune the super, mega, most powerfull doppler.

Wasn't there a weatherman in chi who tried to move the grain markets a few years ago.

From what I can see there are a lot of wind farms around. The one near me seems to dump another 2-4 inches every few days.

Re: Floor Talk June 29 (Report Day)

It's hard to get good accumulations of rain when it is as hot as it is. Inch of rain does not even last that long when the crop is his size. Optimal yield temps below 85 you need three tenths of and inch a day. The way the rain looks even the garden spots aren't getting that.
