Floor Talk March 11

At the close:

At the close, the May corn futures settled 2 1/4 cents higher at $3.65. May soybean futures ended 5 cents higher at $8.94. 
May wheat futures closed 1 1/4 cents lower at $4.75. May soymeal futures finished $1.60 per short ton higher at $273.50. May soyoil futures closed $0.51 higher at $32.13.  
In the outside markets, the Brent Crude oil market is $0.71 higher per barrel, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 187 higher.

At mid-session:

At mid-session, the May corn futures are trading 1 1/4 cents higher at $3.64. May soybean futures are 3 1/4 cents higher at $8.92. 
May wheat futures are trading 4 cents lower at $4.73. May soymeal futures are $0.30 per short ton higher at $272.20. May soyoil futures are trading $0.50 higher at $32.12.  
In the outside markets, the Brent Crude oil market is $0.69 higher per barrel, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 217 higher.

At the open, the May corn futures are trading 14 of a cent higher at $3.63. May soybean futures are 3 1/4 cents higher at $8.92. 
May wheat futures are trading 1/2 of a cent higher at $4.77. May soymeal futures are $0.50 per short ton lower at $271.40. May soyoil futures are trading $0.145 higher at $32.05.  
In the outside markets, the Brent Crude oil market is $0.61 higher per barrel, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 127 higher.

On Friday, USDA announced that private exporters reported sales of 170,800 metric tons of corn for delivery to Japan during the 2015/2016 marketing year. The marketing year for corn began Sept. 1.

Good morning. 

 

Beans and corn rose overnight on signs of life from the weekly USDA export sales report. Let's hope the momentum continues. 

  

At 6:15 am:

 

Brent Crude Oil = 1.6% higher.

West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil = 2.2% higher.

Dollar = up 0.5%.

Wall Street = U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading. 
World Markets = Global stocks mixed after European Central Bank yesterday announces increase stimulus.
