Re: Floor Talk March 13

cx - be careful on those thoughts about planting dates -- a substantial effect from favorable late growing season weather is not necessarily the "norm".  A spring that sucks, followed by even an average remainder of the growing season, will reduce yields -- of course, regardless of the sping, a remainder of the growing season that sucks, has more negative yield impact.  Even an average spring, with a good late season finish, can produce record yields.

Re: Floor Talk March 13

low of 1355 on beans - top of wkly channel -- too much tech down force for recent lows to hold.

WCMO - agree that plant dates are a factor, but as you said, one of many - a lot of weeks of summer weather to get through after planting.

Maybe it's not irony or coincidence that last 2 yrs were such polar extremes planting date-wise and yield-wise. Just about EVERYTHING seems to be at a larger amplitude of extremes - civilization as we've known it - not just the climate..........or Climate could be one of the 2 driving culprits.

as i posted a couple days ago, drought may be more a factor this yr???
