Floor Talk March 15, 2021
At the close:
At the close, the May corn futures finished 10 1/4¢ higher at $5.49 1/4. July corn futures closed 9¢ higher at $5.37 1/2. New crop December corn futures ended unchanged at $4.78 3/4.
May soybean futures settled 6 1/4¢ higher at $14.19 1/2. July soybean futures settled 7 3/4¢ higher at $14.10 3/4. New crop November soybean futures closed 1/4¢ higher at $12.44.
May wheat futures closed 6 1/2¢ higher at $6.45.
May soymeal futures settled $6.70 short term higher at $407.40.
May soy oil futures closed 0.27 lower at 55.09¢ per pound.
In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is -0.16 lower (-0.24%) at $65.45. The U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 91 points higher (+0.69%) at 32,853 points.

May wheat futures are 4 1/4¢ higher at $6.42 1/4.
May soymeal futures are $5.50 short term higher at $406.20.
May soy oil futures are 0.03 lower at 55.33¢ per pound.
In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is -0.36 lower (-0.55%) at $65.25. The U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 25 points higher (+0.08%) at 32,804 points.

Hobby, I know that 32 inches of rain in a short time would take out almost every crop here in Ohio. I know that Brazil’s soils will take a lot of water, but 32 inches? Geez
The marketplace in the U.S. is very complacent.
