Floor Talk March 26

At the close:

At the close, the May corn futures settled 3 3/4 cents lower at $3.91 per bushel. The Dec corn futures finished 3 1/4 cents lower at $4.14 per bushel.
May soybean futures finished 4 1/4 cents lower at $9.74. Nov. soybean futures closed 2 cents lower at $9.55. 

The May soyoil futures settled $0.13 higher at $31.17. The May soymeal futures closed $2.10 per short ton lower at $322.40.

May wheat futures closed 19 3/4 cents lower at $4.99.

In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is $2.24 higher per barrel, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 2 points lower.

At mid-session:

At mid-session, the May corn futures are trading 3 cents lower at $3.92 per bushel. The Dec corn futures are trading 2 3/4 cents lower at $4.15 per bushel.
May soybean futures are trading 5 cents lower at $9.73. Nov. soybean futures are trading 3 cents lower at $9.54. 

The May soyoil futures are trading $0.04 higher at $31.08. The May soymeal futures are trading $1.40 per short ton lower at $323.10.

May wheat futures are trading 13 3/4 cents lower at $5.05.

In the outside markets, the Brent crude oil market is $0.92 higher per barrel, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 61 points lower.

May soybean futures are trading unchanged at $9.78. Nov. soybean futures are trading 1/2 of a cent higher at $9.57. 

The May soyoil futures are trading $0.24 higher at $31.28. The May soymeal futures are trading $0.70 per short ton lower at $323.80.

May wheat futures are trading unchanged at $5.19.

In the outside markets, the Brent crude oil market is $1.08 higher per barrel, the U.S. dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 92 points lower.

USDA Weekly Export Sales Report shows soybeans and soymeal beat:

 

Wheat= 181,700 metric tons vs. the trade's expectations of 300,000-700,000 metric tons

 

Corn= 464,000 mt compared with the trade's estimates of 300,000-750,000 metric tons.

 

Soybeans= 726,000 mt vs. the trade's expectations of 200,000-450,000 metric tons

 

Soybean meal=  228,200 mt vs. the trade's expectations of 50,000-200,000 metric tons.

Early calls: Corn 1-2 cents higher, soybeans 1-2 cents higher, and wheat 3-5 cents higher.

 

Trackers:
Overnight grain, soybean markets = Trading higher.
Brent Crude Oil = $2.13 higher.
Dollar =Lower. 
Wall Street = Seen sharply lower, with more selling and tech stocks catching a cold.

World Markets = Europe stocks were lower, Asia/Pacific stocks were mostly lower.
