Floor Talk March 27

Soybeans and corn were a touch higher in overnight trading as negotiators from the U.S. and China try to hammer out a deal that would avoid tariffs on exchanged goods. Traders seem cautiously optimistic this morning with beans up about a nickel and corn up about 2 cents. Wheat was 1-2 cents lower overnight. Export inspections weren't good for the grains as examinations of corn and wheat for overseas delivery dropped week-to-week. Soybean inspections, however, improved from the prior seven days. In weather news, a very large storm stretching from east Texas to Indiana is slowly making its way through the region. Rain is a definite but hail and tornadoes are possible tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service. Check out all the details in today's 3 Big Things at https://www.agriculture.com/news/three-big-things/3-big-things-today-march-27.

Re: Floor Talk March 27

Here in the Heartland it is very cool.  Next six nights to be below freezing-day time highs in the 40's and 50's. Well below normal.  Precipitation this month has been normal.  Some shallow tiles are starting to run.  Moving forward with a cautious eye on the weather.  I see a lot of grain headed for the E-plants.
