Re: Floor Talk March 5

Dateline: El Campo, Texas

A freezing rain has halted some of the first U.S. corn plantings for 2014. My contact in El Campo files this report Wednesday. "We had 3/4" - 1.5" rain followed by an ice storm yesterday. Another cold front predicted for this coming weekend. My farmers are waiting for weather to settle and field conditions to improve. No planting this week. I'll check with a friend down the coast closer to Corpus Christi. They had planted some corn but were needing moisture to continue planting. Maybe conditions are better for them. Crazy weather!"

Re: Could you give more info .......

Palouser,

Here are the steps:

1. Go to the Markets tab on the homepage. When you get the dropdown, you will see Your World In Agriculture listed.

2. Click on Your World in Agriculture page.

3. Once on that page, you scroll down to the second half of the page and you will see photos of all of the writers.

4. Click on the writer's photo to be taken to his stories.

Each writer will contribute two articles each month. We will be adding a Canadian writer soon. So, with five separate writers contributing two articles each month, will give us a nice rotation of worldly ag-information for the entire month. The writers will also begin to take part in the Marketing Talk discussion page. So, watch for them to drop in there, from time to time.

I hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't. And, I will walk you through it. Meantime, bookmark this url:

I was looking for the comments about China changing the grain reserve program. Didn't see anything.

Somebody else?

Re: Could you give more info .......

Thanks Marketeye

If you have any sites/info that give world Ag news, from people on the ground or know what is happening

which is probably a good part of the world of buyers and sellers

Please do not hesitate to draw our attention to book marking

Already book marked that site for future reference, in my marketing folder

World Ag news/info, is one reason why I keep coming to this site

There is a difference between market gurus

and people reporting, what they see, or know, from  different parts of the world

If you know what I mean. We are in a world market and all Ag world info is worth something

You and other posters can keep all of this sort of tied together, so we can decide

Not saying reporting news from the traders, isn't just as important, either

Then we can post our thoughts, ask questions, or just read

what is posted, about your info, or what others bring to the table

Just my 2 cents about what I look for, on this site
