Yep, another 2.5 inches here in central Iowa (I am halfway between State Center and Iowa Center, so I must be close to the center!) The terraces are running over in many places, water over roads in places that I don't remember being a problem, as well as all the places I do remember. Our ponds are all filled, not much hope for them to drain out in time for crops to survive, our nitrogen is most likely long gone. I dunno, I just don't think we will be much help reachhing the fictitious above trend line yield. And, no, we are not a fringe area. Tomorrow has the potential of another couple inches of raifall as well.
Things are kinda gloomy here right now.
We did get our corn in, the first of it was under a foot of snow on May 2nd, but survived. The beans are an entirely different story. We have about 20% of the beans planted, but conditions are far from ideal. I don't know when we will have a chance to plant a few more.
