Floor Talk November 24, 2020

At the close:

At the close, the Dec. corn futures finished 3/4¢ lower at $4.25 3/4. March corn futures closed 3/4¢ lower at $4.32 1/2.

January soybean futures settled 1/4¢ lower at $11.91 1/2. March soybean futures ended 3/4¢ higher at $11.93 1/2.

March wheat futures closed 13 1/2¢ higher at $6.17 1/2.


Jan. soymeal futures finished $3.90 per short ton higher at $396.90.


Jan. soy oil futures closed 0.62 of a cent at 37.72¢ per pound.



In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is $1.83 per barrel higher (+4.25%) at $44.89. The U.S. dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 418 points higher (+1.41%) 30,009 points.

At midsession:

At midsession, the Dec. corn futures are 2 3/4¢ lower at $4.23. March corn futures are 2 3/4¢ lower at $4.30 1/2.

January soybean futures are 5¢ lower at $11.86 1/2. March soybean futures are 4 1/4¢ higher at $11.87 1/2.

March wheat futures are 4 1/2¢ higher at $6.09.

Jan. soymeal futures are $1.00 per short ton higher at $394.00.


Jan. soy oil futures are 0.53 of a cent at 37.81¢ per pound.



In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil market is $1.82 per barrel higher (+4.23%) at $44.88. The U.S. dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 457 points higher (+1.55%) 30,048 points.

Hard to keep a good bean down.

No line at bean processor in Des Moines

Trucks but no line.

June to end of Sept gonna be hard to source beans .

Bean meal might get quite expensive if even available.

They are even open Fri and Sat this week.

Ag markets lower Tuesday.  Not exactly true. Pretty solid turn around day—- also noted southern basis margins continue to rise.  Corn as high as +80 for early 21 delivery
