Floor Talk November 24
Happy Black Friday! Please don't go shopping today (there, that's my public service announcement for the day). The markets were closed overnight but will reopen this morning before closing early. Ethanol production jumped to a record last week, averaging 1.074 million barrels a day. Stockpile also rose, however, though only to the highest level since July. In weather news, strong winds abound today as gusts of up to 45 miles an hour are expected in the northern Plains. There's a risk of fire due to strong winds and low humidity in the southern Plains as well. Some flooding is ongoing in parts of Indiana today, but waters are receding. Several reports, including the CFTC's commitment of traders, are delayed due to Thanksgiving.
