Floor Talk - November 25

At the close:

The March corn futures are trading 7 cents higher at $3.87 1/4 per bushel.
January soybean futures are trading 17 1/4 cents higher at $10.51.
March wheat futures are 8 1/4 cents higher at $5.57 3/4.

 

In the outside markets, the crude oil is $1.67 per barrel lower to $74.11, the dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 27 points higher to 17,845.

We're movin' on up!

 

At 11:00: 

 

The March corn futures are trading 5 cents higher at $3.85 1/4 per bushel.
January soybean futures are trading 18 1/2 cents higher at $10.52 1/4.
March wheat futures are 7 cents higher at $5.56 1/2.

 

In the outside markets, the crude oil is $1.32 per barrel lower to $74.46, the dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 6 points higher to 17,824.

Good news moving into Thanksgiving!

 

At the open:

 

The March corn futures are trading 2 3/4 cents higher at $3.83 per bushel.
January soybean futures are trading 13 cents higher at $10.46 3/4.

March wheat futures are trading 2 1/2 cents higher to $5.52.

 

USDA announced that weekly export inspections showed 102.3 million bushels. This is the third week over 100 mbu out of the past four.

 

“Accumulated corn exports since Sept 1 are 42 mbu ahead of last year,” states Alan Brugler, market analyst.

In the outside markets, the crude oil is $0.72 per barrel higher to $76.57, the dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 27 points higher to 17,844. “Stocks rise after GDP beats estimates, and S&P at record.” CNBC

At 7:45 am:

 

Early calls: Corn is 1-3 cents higher, soybeans 9-12 cents higher and wheat is seen 0-2 cents higher.

 

Trackers:
Overnight grain, soybean markets = Trading mostly higher.
Crude Oil = $.06 higher per barrel to $75.84.
Dollar = Lower
Wall Street = Trading higher. Dow is up 39 point to 17,831.
World Markets = Europe stocks are higher, Asia/Pacific stocks are mostly higher.

Hobby have you checked out the Hill City off farm Grain Sorghum bids. They are in the +$.34 area 8 N of Hill City for J/F pickup.  Sign of strong export demand as shown by the Gulf bids being +$1.40 H for January vs. Corn at the Gulf in January at +$.69 H.
