Today close in hillbilly land...Gavilon on the river.

Put offer in yesterday around noon@ Tyson for 4.40 Dec delivery. While drinking coffee this morning thought, why didn't you sell more. So grabbed my phone and doubled up on yesterday offer. Got filled this morning.

Re: You got filled at $4.40, sound like you did well. Congrads.

Isn't that $4.30 essentially  20 cents more than the typical end of harvest glut price?  Doesn't that signal stronger prices to come?

Re: Stronger prices to come?

That's The $64,000 Question Rick.

LEFT BRAIN:   prices are this at Harvest. What will they be before planting time next spring?

RIGHT BRAIN:  dummy!! you just had the best crop you've ever had in your lifetime. With better than expected prices, it's time to sell out!!

These guys fight with each other a lot lately.

For the first time in years, I didn't have any corn sales on the book after planting. Just couldn't make myself sell anything at the prices we had early summer.

We don't know what next spring will bring. This may be one of those years to sell everything at harvest, it doesn't happen very often!!

I think right brain is gonna win out on this one. Plan: is to get 75% - 80% sold in the next 10 days.
