Floor Talk October 15
At the close:
At the close, the Dec. corn futures contract settled 7 cents higher at $4.43. The Nov. soybean futures contract finished 6 cents lower at $12.67. Dec. wheat futures ended 6 3/4 cents lower at $6.85 per bushel. The Dec. soymeal futures settled $5.00 per short ton lower at $402.40. The Dec. soyoil futures settled $0.27 higher at $40.66.
In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil is $1.02 per barrel lower, the dollar is higher and the Dow Jones Industrials are 103 points lower.

At 10:35am:
The Dec. corn futures contract is trading 5 3/4 cents higher at $4.42. The Nov. soybean futures contract is trading 5 cents lower at $12.68. Dec. wheat futures are 3 cents lower at $6.89 per bushel. The Dec. soymeal futures is trading $5.60 per short ton lower at $401.80. The Dec. soyoil futures are trading $0.54 higher at $40.93.
In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil is $1.02 per barrel lower, the dollar is higher and the Dow Jones Industrials are 6 points lower.

As we hit 37-month lows on this corn market, is anyone surprised the commercials are buying into this market so much? The trading arms of these companies are probably jumping for joy about securing cheaper corn only to try and sell it at a higher price down the road. What do you think?
