At 7:25am:

Early talk amounts to corn harvest completion rate, as of this Sunday, with 75% projected. Also, soybean harvest is estimated at 87%. So, almost done. Also, due to end-user demand, the basis has improved in many areas, lately. Are you seeing this in your area?

This afternoon's COT report is eyed. Will the funds keep buying into these ag commodities?

Thanks,

Mike

SCMN = Local basis for beans went from $-0.63 to $-0.59 today.  Corn is $-0.48

Local elevator started a corn pile south of the county fairgrounds this week.

Before Ray gets too excited it was only because their leg that moves dry corn out to the big bin broke down.

II's uncovered and getting a little rain on it today.

Re: Floor Talk October 23

There is a couple of piles in our area that are not at the end users front door....

Both took 4 inches of rain without a cover the last three days.  How much does that take out of the market...?

And by the way the biggest elevator in town has lots of room in bins....

Competition is a good thing..
