Floor Talk October 28

At the open:

 

The December corn futures are trading 5 1/2 cents higher at $3.68 per bushel.

 

November soybean futures are trading 9 3/4 cents higher at $10.15.

December wheat futures are trading 6 3/4 cents higher at $5.29.

For Dec. soybean meal futures, the contract is $12.20 per short ton higher at $389.00; Dec. soybean oil futures are trading $0.34 higher at $32.57.

 

In the outside markets, the crude oil is $0.33 per barrel higher, the dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 71 points higher.

Early calls: Corn is 6-8 cents higher, soybeans 18-20 cents higher, and wheat 6-8 cents higher.

Trackers:
Overnight grain, soybean markets = Trading higher.
Brent Crude Oil = $0.20 per barrel higher.
Dollar = Lower
Wall Street = Seen higher, though durable good sales are weak.
World Markets = Europe stocks were higher, Asia/Pacific stocks were mixed.
