The marketing year for corn began Sept. 1.Wheat rose on a new threat from Russia that its phytosanitary watchdog is considering closing dozens of export processing facilities temporarily for violating phytosanitary regulations. That would curb exports from the country and boost demand for US supplies. Wheat was up 3-4 cents overnight. Corn gained a penny while soybeans were up 2 cents. Prices also may be rising as wet weather is inbound to several producing states including Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois today. Flooding is an issue along the Missouri River between Nebraska and Iowa and several other rivers and streams in eastern Iowa. Get all the details in today's 3 Big Things

West Texas Intermediate = up 0.1%.

Brent Crude = up 0.2%.

Dollar = up 0.1%.

Wall Street = U.S. stock higher pre-market.
