Floor Talk September 19

The USDA announced Wednesday that the release time for all of their major crop reports will change from 7:30am CT to 11am CT. See full USDA announcement here.
Will this change your world much? If so, how?
Mike

The corn market is overdone to the downside, one floor trader says. So, a rally occurred on Wednesday rather than Tuesday. Plus, technically, this blows people out of the water. We were looking at 7.41 3/4 as a resistance price and we blew right threw that. So, people are now confused about this market, I'm sure. This tells me that we are in for higher prices. Why? When we take $1 off of the market, a buyer shows up. These breaks should be bought," the floor trader says.

Re: Floor Talk September 19
Mike, Thanks for all the updates! Keeps my interest when I get a chance to sit down at the PC while floating around in the western pacific.
Just a note, my brother keeps 20 acres of cover crop, rye, to have a place to put manure during the summer. Harvests it so has seed for that fall. This year a guy has offered $14 a bushel for it, thats right $14! I don't know if the guy uses it for resale but was told it will also be used for cover cropping. If not selling we just mix the excess seed into feed for the feeder calves.
Started combining corn for the neighbor, conventional tillage, average 60 BPA on ground normally going over 150. All this is in east central Iowa.
Thanks again,

Re: Floor Talk September 19
sixtysixx,
It looks like buyers are stepping into this market, after prices have fallen this week.
