Re: Floor Talk September 4
Had a windshield tour last week driving to/from Maryland on vacation with wife and 2 granddaughters. On the return trip last Thursday we traveled I64 from Lexington, KY to Hwy 61 west of St. Louis. Then north and home to SCMN. Saw some pretty ugly crops and a lot of dry streambeds. There were a number of combines taking corn in Missouri ahead of the rain moving in. Fair amount of black dust being generated in spots. Bad enough harvesting a lousy crop, then have to deal with smut and other diseases. Keep wondering when the market will come to grips with these issues but I guess that is the billion dollar question!!
Was reminded during my travels last week that Washington and Jefferson listed their occupation as farmer. We're in pretty good company.

If they have a huge crop, they will take forever to handle it so the marketing tail might be pretty long.

Re: Floor Talk September 4
Mike,
if you get chance please sir, see if Tom White would give you any type of definitive answer about what he thinks the floor (mkt) will do if USDA prints a 10.2b corn as Jim Meade referred from farmdocdaily article.
thanks,
