Unit trains to the TX Panhandle... For that you can't export.

Otherwise eat/feed it Yourself.

Re: Floor Talk, September 7, 2021

absolutely nothing new about unit trains of corn to the Hereford Texas area feedlots from southern Iowa.

If not needed in Texas they were lighter loaded and sent to Mexico. (Had to be about 600 bu less per hopper car because of a few weaker bridges in Mexico)

How many greedy farmers out there that didn't empty the corn bins at $7.50 or above? Had weeks to do It above $7.

Then there was the bean thingy ... got above $17 cash.

Most found it easier to sell a bunch @ low $4's and $10ish than 50%+ that just few months later.

Re: Floor Talk, September 7, 2021

even the best of us can rationalize not selling bushels that congress will profit from.  Mikes question would be  "How can we lock in the price and delay the payment to the future.......... and secondly how much of that can we do and before what month of the year and can we take it in future seed?

That is a local joke tied to an area bank problem, but. these questions are can get dicy.

that's the nice thing about running older "junk yard" type machinery. More choices/options on parts origination.
