Flor Talk November 27, 2020

At 8:59am:

Mexico buys a huge amount of U.S. corn Friday.

Friday's markets pushed up with wheat leading the way.

Thanks,

Mike

As of last week, 11/19, the US has 1.44 billion bushels of corn on the export books compared with 550 million last year same time.

What's that going to do to the corn carry out next Sept?

What do you think the USDA March intentions report will say?

Geez Rick it almost sounds like you are admitting the Trump trade policy is a huge success....USMCA baby.

Planting intentions are easy, 100 mil for corn and 90 mil for beans, why anyone would plant one acre of wheat, etc etc etc is beyond comprehension. :-=)

Happy Thanksgiving.

Re: Somebody is going to rip up a lot of wheat.

Two months ago, a lot of fellows around here got their beans off in a hurry so they could plant winter wheat, a lot of wheat.  Now they're going to have to decide if they keep the wheat or rip it up and plant corn.  I suppose there could be worse decisions to have to make.

Times right.

Rick I think you point out the issue of today’s report—- big corn sale. And wheat leads the rise in price.  Ironic but New York doesn’t plant enough wheat to impress anybody.  Or corn , or anything else.  Wheat is the greatest multipurpose crop planted.   Anywhere

issue is. — thanks for pointing it out—- we been lied to by lazy bureaucrats so much so long that we appear to be short of near every commodity on the board.  I’m sitting close to hwy 83 slipping through okla into Texas.  This morning you can sit roadside and watch trucks full of cotton bails heading south— meaning big gins in the panhandle are pulling cotton away from gins in Kansas.   — crop is short well below predictions both places.  As is corn and beans. And wheat.
