burned a lot of fuel thru a 1066 back in the day...........even learned to turn a wrench when we did a total rebuild at around 7K hours.........
its amazing to see the advancements, still remember that ole horse, could start her at 0 with a quick shot of ether and she would set down and pur with a load........that ole turbo was all you needed to hear to find the sweet spot..........now days with the new ones you have to look at the tach cause you can't hear em over the radio and beeps on the autosteer display..........
o and so this isnt mistaken for a machinery thread.........we are likely setting up for our spring run here...........
EDIT: the 2166 still sounds pretty sweet wound up...........cant hear it from the cab, but the neighbors can sure tell how late you run............

Shoot I switch my 1586 over to a dual PTO after harvest by using the PTO off a 706.
