Re: Found in Gering, NE

I farm about 10 miles east of that elevator, yes that is wheat in the building and the bunkers of corn will all be gone by the time harvest hits. I deliver there and he always seems to move every kernel, but you need to remember we are a corn deficit area!

Re: Found in Gering, NE

After driving thru the Sandhills area and seeing all that beef we had to have steak for supper.

Wheat fields we saw looked good from the road.

mzeller = It was greener than i expected for this time of the year.

More rain than usual this year or is my expectation wrong?

Re: Found in Gering, NE

We have had way more rain then usual, the wheat looks way better then it has yielded., the corn in piles has quality issues, always does, they deliver to the ethanol plant and walk that ***** through the grates, yet we can deliver perfect quality from bins, and not get a premium nor is the basis any better then if it was stored at the elevator. Bins don’t pay a dime anymore in this area!

Re: Found in Gering, NE

Starting to irk me as well—- even here in the sw our bin corn gets the fumonicin test to get in the ethanol plant with a very slight bonus while they bring in ground pile trash without a test. Corn that would not be on the ground if they didn’t require it.
