I see ISU's Elwynn Taylor is estimating a U.S. corn yield at 149 bushels per acre. The number just keeps getting smaller doesn't it?

I was thinking the same thing- if China was at 130 we would be awash in corn! Then add the 40% we are using here for ethanol...
*disclaimer* - not trying to be bearish here because I am actually bullish right now. just an observation.

For China to reach 130 would require a mess of additional inputs. Where would all that NPK come from?
